A. Usage and Application of RT20 Steel Structure Beam Chain Turnover Manipulator Machine:


1. Function: This large size Chain Type Overturning Equipment can lift up workpieces within certain vertical stroke, and at the same time flip it in the range of 0° ~ 360°, so that welding seams on the workpieces can be turned to ideal position, for subsequent welding operation;

2. Nature: In this respect, this Chain Rotating Equipment can be viewed as a kind of auxiliary supporting Chain Type Welding Positioner;

3. Photo View: Commissioning on Wuxi JACK export to East Europe RT20 Chain Turnover Manipulator, by means of flipping a piece of box beam steel structure member, at workshop: (Fig.1)

4. Application: This equipment can be used in various industries and plants, which entail large size long length workpiece fabrication, especially in facilities of Steel Structure, Vehicle, Boiler, etc.

It can rotate different structures and weights of steel structure workpieces, so that welding seam on workpiece can be positioned to optimum orientation, for getting the best fabrication performance;

3. Safe Operation and Reduce Labor Intensity: This Chain Rotator Equipment relieves labor intensity, saving cycle time on operation, and increasing productivity. Meanwhile, operator can focus on more value added welding operation itself, without fretting over the dangerous job of manually manipulating steel structure workpieces.

1.  Structure and Configuration of Chain Turnover Manipulator:


1) This position control machinery is composed of two individual sets of Chain Type Overturning Equipment, which usually operate as an integral group, to hold on long length of BOX Beam workpieces;

2) Main Units of the Equipment include: U shape frame: Erected columns and base beds, Chain Rotating Equipment, and its rotating transmission units, together with electric control system;

3) Photo View: At Wuxi JACK workshop for equipment test: The installation of 2 sets of RT20 Chain Turnover Manipulator Equipment, which was flipping on a piece of small and long BOX Beam: (Fig.3)

2. Working Principle of RT20 Steel Structure Beam Chain Turnover Manipulator:


1) Workpiece Rotation: During position change on workpieces, the two sets of the equipment rotate the steel structure Beam by means of chain rotation, which are driven with motor reducer;

2) Workpiece Load in and Unload from Chain Type Overturning Equipment:


a) Rocking Arm: In each set of the equipment, there are 2 pieces of rocking arms assembled at its both sides apex points. The swing of these 2 pieces of rocking arms realizes up and down of chains and correspondingly workpieces;

b) Drive Way: During work period, the swing of rocking arms is driven with hydraulic oil cylinders;

c) Workpiece Loading: When the rocking arm is rotated to its bottom position, the workpiece can be hoisted onto the Chain Turnover Manipulator by means of overhead traveling crane in workshop;

d) Workpiece Ascend and Rotate: With rotation upward of rocking arm, workpiece is risen up accordingly, and got rotated at the same time under the drive of motor reducer;

3. In this way, the target of workpiece rise and rotation can be attained in the Chain Type Overturning Equipment. The workpiece can be rotated in both FOR/ RVR directions, clockwise and counterclockwise.


E. Operation on RT Models Steel Structure Beam Chain Rotator Equipment:


1. Control Style: The electric control system of the equipment controls FOR (Forward)/RVR (Reverse) revolve of workpiece, under control logic on control elements of contactor, relay, etc.;

2. Security Mechanism in Steel Structure Beam Chain Turnover Manipulator:


1) Besides, the motor protecting elements can protect the motor under working conditions and contingency conditions at running site, such as motor start, run, phase failure, overload, etc., fully guaranteeing on stable and reliable running of the motors;

2) Limit switches are fit at extreme motion position of the swing arms, effectively avoiding damage caused from incorrect operation or other accidental situation in case of happen;

3. Put into Use of Steel Structure Beam Chain Type Overturning Equipment:


1) Operating Units: The equipment has control board, operating panel and hand held remote pendant;

2) Main Actions: The electric control board has main control elements in it, fulfilling work motions like FOR (Forward)/RVR (Reverse) revolve of workpiece on the chain;

3) Remote Control: The hand held pendant is for carrying out remote control on the Chain Turnover Manipulator, fulfilling on constant work motion;

4) Strong Points: This large overall dimension Chain Type Overturning Equipment has the merits of safe and user friendly operation, and easy maintenance;

4. Subsequent Operation following Workpiece Manipulation in Chain Type Welding Positioner:


1) After the workpiece is flipped in place, it can be put onto the lateral supporting rack alongside the equipment, for carrying out the next step of operation;

2) The workpiece supporting rack can be made by customers. Wuxi JACK provide drawings of supporting rack accordingly.
