A.       Usage and Application of RT20 Steel Structure Beam Chain Manipulator:

1.       Function: This Chain Type Overturning Equipment can lift up workpieces in certain vertical stroke, and flip it in the range of 0°~360°, so that welding seams on the workpieces can be turned to ideal position;

2.       Nature: In this respect, RT series Chain Rotating Equipment is a kind of auxiliary supporting Chain Type Welding Positioner;

4.       Application: RT models Steel Structure Beam Chain Type Welding Positioner can be used in various industries and plants, which entail large size long length workpiece fabrication, especially in facilities of Steel Structure, Vehicle, Boiler, etc.

D.      Performance and Feature of RT Steel Structure Beam Chain Type Overturning Equipment:

1.       Structure and Configuration of Chain Rotating Equipment:

1)       This Chain Manipulator is composed of two sets of individual Chain Rotating Equipment, which operate as an integral group;

2)       Its main units include: Upright U shape columns and base beds, Chain Rotator Equipment, and its rotating transmission units, together with electric control system;

3)       Photo View: The arrangement of 2 sets of Chain Type Overturning Equipment, and its flipping workpieces: (Fig.3)

2.       Working Principle of the Steel Structure Beam Chain Rotator Equipment:

1)       Workpiece Rotation: During position change of workpieces, the two sets of Chain Manipulator rotate the workpiece beam by means of chain flowing, which are driven with motor reducer;

2)       Working Loading in and Unloading from the Chain Type Overturning Equipment:

a)       Rocking Arm: In each set of U mechanical frame Chain Manipulator, there are 2 pieces of rotating arms assembled at its both sides apex points. The swing of these 2 pieces of rotating arms realizes up and down of chains and correspondingly workpieces;

b)       Drive Way: During work of the Chain Type Overturning Equipment, the swing of rotating arms is driven with hydraulic oil cylinders;

c)       Workpiece Loading: When the rocking arm is rotated to its bottom position, the workpiece can be hoisted onto the Chain Manipulator by means of traveling crane;

d)       Workpiece Ascend and Rotate: With the rotating up of rocking arm, the workpiece of Chain Manipulator is risen up accordingly, and got rotated at the same time under the drive of motor reducer;

3.       In this way, the target of workpiece rising and rotating can be attained in the Chain Type Overturning Equipment. The workpiece can be rotated in both FOR/ RVR directions.



E.        Operation of the RT Models Chain Type Welding Positioner:

1.       Control Style: The electric control system of the Chain Manipulator controls FOR (Forward)/RVR (Reverse) revolve of workpiece, by the use of control elements such as contactor, relay, etc.;

2.       Security Mechanism in the Steel Structure Beam Chain Manipulator:

1)       Besides, the motor protecting elements can protect the motor under working conditions and contingency conditions of the Chain Rotating Equipment, such as motor start, run, phase failure, overload, etc., guaranteeing stable and reliable running of the motors;

2)       Limit switches are fit at extreme motion position of the swing arms in the Chain Rotator Equipment, effectively avoiding the damage caused from incorrect operation or other accidental situation;

3.       Put into Use of the Steel Structure Beam Chain Type Overturning Equipment:

1)       Operating Units: The Chain Rotating Equipment has control board and pendant panel;

2)       Main Actions: The control board has main control elements in it, fulfilling work motions like FOR (Forward)/RVR (Reverse) revolve of workpiece on the chain;

3)       Remote Control: The pendant panel is for the purpose of remote control on the Chain Manipulator, fulfilling constant work motion of the Chain Rotator Equipment;

4)       Strong Points: The Chain Manipulator has the merits of safe and user friendly operation, and easy maintenance;

4.       Subsequent Operation following Manipulation in Chain Manipulator:

1)       After the workpiece is flipped in place, it can be put onto the lateral supporting rack alongside the Chain Type Overturning Equipment, for carrying out the next step of operation;

2)       The workpiece supporting rack can be made by customers. Wuxi JACK provide drawings of supporting rack accordingly.
