1. Background: This SAW (Submerged arc welding) Welding Center was developed by Wuxi JACK for an overseas customer from Oil and Gas Industry, for fabricating on large size tanks. The diameter of tanks can be up to Φ4500mm, finished joint tanks length can be up to 20m;
2. Workpiece Support: Is fulfilled with laying large tanks onto welding roller bed of groups of Welding Roller Support;

3. 3 Types of Major Welding Machinery and Its Operations for Fabricating on Tanks:

1) The internal and external longitudinal seam welding for completing on manufacture on each segment of tanks, which need to be completed with the LHZ5050 model large Column and Boom Welding Manipulator Machine;
2) The internal and external circumferential seam welding for joint 2 segments of tanks, by means of the HLK80 bolt adjusting Welding Roller Support. 1) Welding Torch Swing Unit: As shown in the above 1st photo, welding torch on the front end horizontal boom of Welding Manipulator Machine has its dedicated swing unit. This is for the purpose of getting sufficient width of welding seam from the CO2 MIG welding. Another Welding Machinery being equipped with this swing mechanism is LHD1500 Pipe Back Welding Machinery;
2) Work Bench: As shown in the above 2nd photo, to help operator of the Welding Center getting a comfortable operating position, the HGK10 leadscrew adjusting Welding Roller Support is laid on a working table, at the same height level as operator;
3) Weight Ballast: Also shown in the above 2nd photo, there is a piece of small diameter tube inside the workpiece stainless steel pipe, being laid on the welding roller bed of the Welding Roller Support. This is because considering the light weight of stainless steel pipe, to keep it steady during welding operation (No floating), there needs to have a ballast inside the light weight stainless steel pipe, so that welding performance of the Welding Roller Support / Welding Manipulator Machine and hence Welding Center can be fully guaranteed;
