1. Single Arc or Twin Arc SAW (Submerged Arc Welding):
1) Technical Features: Large current (Up to 1000A/ 1500A) back welding, or finished welding, implemented on structure members / tanks made of carbon steel;
2) Thickness of workpieces pipes is medium to large wall thickness, from 6mm to 30mm or 40 mm;
2. CO2 GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding):
1) Technical Features: Small current (Up to 500A, such as working current of 350A), for welding on thin wall pipes, made of carbon steel or non-ferrous metal materials (With 2~3 mm to 6mm thickness);
2) Applicable Sites: GMAW welding has high impact value (IK), which is often applied in Pharmaceutical, or Vehicle industries;
3. Strip Cladding:
1) Technical Features: This is for building up a layer of anti-corrosion on surface of workpieces. So, strip cladding is also named as built up welding;
2) Applicable Welding Modes: In Welding Column and Boom, it can be SAW or ESW (Electroslag) welding;
4. TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas):
1) Technical Features: This belongs to high precision welding, implemented on materials of non-ferrous metal: Stainless steel/ Al alloy, etc.;
2) Applicable Sites: It is usually applied in applicating sites for non-ferrous material, and special requirement on welding precision of the welding equipment.
Prepare on delivery package on a set of Wuxi JACK exported LHZ4060 model heavy duty Welding Column and Boom: (Fig.7)
1) Function: The movement of welding torch for welding operation is realized by means of its horizontal boom movement with respect to upright column, in the direction of horizontal X axis and vertical Y axis. Such both direction position management is guided and transmitted by way of cross slides, which is assembled at intersection point of horizontal boom and upright column:
2) Up and Down Movement: With elevation of horizontal boom, the welding torch height level can be managed, based on size and diameter of workpieces;
3) Leftward and Rightward Movement: By means of horizontal extending and retreating of horizontal boom, the operating reach of welding torch can be controlled;
4) Welding Speed: When performing on longitudinal seam welding, horizontal movement of boom equals to movement of welding torch. For this reason, horizontal boom leftward and rightward speed is working welding speed of Welding Column and Boom, which is controlled with A.C. inverter, and displayed in digital manner in real time on operating panel;
It has strong points of: High Power, Smooth and Stable:
Working Mode:
1) High Power A.C. Motor: as shown in the above 1st photo, for driving the horizontal boom up and down movement. This driving motor is installed at top of the upright column;
2) Constraint on Large Models: Sometimes, to reduce total height of heavy duty Welding Column and Boom, especially those large models, this drive motor is installed at bottom of the upright column, inside its mechanical base bed. This also helps lowering down gravity center of the large Welding Console Manipulator;
3) Precise Worm Gear and Motor Reducer, as shown in the above 2nd photo, for driving and transmitting horizontal boom movement along X and Y axis;
Shown in the above 3rd photo:
a) Wuxi JACK light duty Welding Console Manipulator adopts with leadscrew as transmission mechanism for its horizontal boom up and down movement: (Fig.10)
b) Wuxi JACK medium and heavy duty Welding Column and Boom adopts with chain and sprocket, as transmission mechanism for guiding its horizontal boom up and down movement: (Fig.11)
Shown in the above 1st photo:
a) The biggest safety hidden risk during operation of Welding Column and Boom is sudden falling down of horizontal boom when it is at high level position, which may do great harm on personnel working on site, and prime condition of utility and facility;
b) To avoid this from happening, there is a row of rectangular holes being cut in the upright column. During work, if ever chains break off and lead to sudden falling of the horizontal boom, the rachet safety pins will be ejected out immediately, and plugged into rectangular holes, thus firmly locking the horizontal boom into that position. This is marked in yellow frame in the above 1st photo;
c) The climbing ladder alongside the upright column in Welding Console Manipulator is surrounded with protection rails, as shown in orange frame in the above 1st photo;
2) Brake Motor: The driving motor for horizontal boom elevation is braking type. This gives double assurance on protecting the horizontal boom from unexpected falling down;

1) Operating Point Welding Heads of different configurations: The above 2nd and 3rd photos show welding heads of the welding equipment;
2) Welding Modes: It can be any common seen available welding modes. The control console of welding power supply/ Welding seam tracker/ Welding wire feeder are all installed on front end of the horizontal boom, so as to acquire on easy management and monitor on high standard running by operators;
3) Hand held Remote Operating Pendant: As shown in the above 4th photo. This operating pendant helps operator managing on operation of the Manipulator Welding Machine in further distance, so as to have flexible working positions according to practical working conditions.

Welding Console Manipulator works with other common seen Welding Equipment to deliver various sophisticated welding jobs on cylindrical working parts:
1) Welding Rotator (Welding Turning Roll, Welding Roller Bed) for circumferential seam welding;
2) Welding Fixture for longitudinal seam welding on complicated workpieces;
3) Welding Positioner for carrying out structure welding,
To be formed into wide variety of Welding Center;
2. Similar Function of Welding Equipment:
With respect to Manipulator Welding Machine includes:
1) Various types of Pipe Welding Machine, which is usually tailor made, of more flexible in structure/ configuration and functions;
2) Longitudinal seam and circumferential seam Welding Equipment, which can also implements on both types of welding seam, but with much smaller size;
3. Applicable Workpieces:
Besides cylindrical working parts such as pipes/ tanks, as shown in the above photo, Welding Column and Boom can also be used for fabricating on structure members: H Beam/ BOX Beam when working on longitudinal seam welding. This fulfils similar tasks as 3 in 1 H Beam Welding Machine.
