1) The Electric Welding Manipulator, in terms of its working mode, is mainly composed of operating mechanism, control system, welding power source, and process technology guarantee unit;
2) All the motions of the Electric Welding Manipulator are powered with motor; Working speed is controlled and displayed with inverter; Working logic is controlled with electric control elements;
3) There is no hydraulic and or pneumatic system installed in Automatic Welding Column and Boom. This is the reason we name the equipment LHZ series Electric welding manipulator.
This mainly consists of:
a) Fixed base bed for Stationary Welding Manipulator;
b) Traveling trolley and traveling rails for Moving Welding Manipulator;
c) Horizontal extending boom;
d) Upright erecting column;
e) Cross slides saddle and its guiding eccentric rollers;
f) Heavy duty square section precise linear guiderail for movement of Welding Column and Boom;
g) Cable drag chain;
a) Welding power supply, welding torch, wire feeder, welding flux recovery unit;
b) Welding torch position manipulating cross slides at the front end of boom;
c) Welding seam tracker, and welding seam oscillator;
a) Electric control system of LHZ automatic welding column and boom;
b) Control console of welding power supply, wire feeder, seam tracing unit respectively;
A.C. Motors for driving boom vertical movement, horizontal movement, column revolve and trolley traveling respectively;
i. Leadscrews for transmitting light duty Electric Welding Column and Boom;
ii. Chain sprocket for transmitting medium duty Welding Column and Boom, as well as heavy duty Automatic Welding Manipulator;
b) Gear and rack for transmitting boom horizontal movement;
c) Slewing support (Cross roll bearing) for leading column revolve.
1) Welding wire guiding mechanism;
2) Contact tube;
3) Optional seam tracing unit;
4) Optional video monitor;
5) Optional oscillator (for performing GMAW CO2 welding in the Welding Manipulator)
To adjust welding torch/wire position during running of the Electric Welding Column and Boom in precise way, for the purpose of delivering persistent high precision of welding finished product.
For light duty Welding Manipulator sometimes it is leadscrew: (Fig.1)
a) Relative lower manufacturing cost, and reliable running;
b) Positioning precision is inferior to gear and rack. This direction of boom movement (up and down) is for adjusting boom vertical position to fit for changing diameters of workpieces of the Electric Welding Column and Boom;
c) It is fine with chain sprocket transmission for boom elevation;
a) The highest manufacturing cost among all options of transmission manner;
b) Reliable and smooth running of the Weld Manipulator;
c) This can get the best degree of positioning precision among all options, which is the most appropriate solution for boom horizontal movement, or welding management in the Automatic Welding Column and Boom.
