1) In the attached first photo, a piece of medium large size BOX Beam was just being finished end face milling in the CNC-DX3535 model machine;
2) In this product section, we will have a short discussion on it.
1) CNC H Beam End Face Milling Machine can be used in steel structure industry, for end face milling on H Beam/I Beam/ BOX Beam just produced from H Beam Production Line/ BOX Beam Production Line, or Oil and Gas Pipeline Industry;
2) The identical horizontal and vertical face milling stroke of 3,000 mm by 3,500 mm makes the machine perfect for machining square section shape medium large size workpiece of various beams;
3) Close observation on the BOX beam workpiece please see the attached 2nd photo (The same model of Structure Member End Face Milling Machine, but installation is reversed, or mirrored, as can be compared between the first and second photos);
4) The corresponding trace control on this end face milling process please see the attached 3rd sketch. For this specific BOX beam, four parameters need to be determined: Left& Right& Up& Lower facing volume, which, upon keying in sizes of the BOX Beam (Including external and internal side length), will be calculated automatically in controller of the machine.
a) The machine has 2 controlling axis of X (Horizontal) and Y (vertical), within the vertical plane (Comparatively, in CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine, the controlling plane of X and Y axis is in horizontal plane);
b) Usually, the left bottom corner of workpiece is taken as zero point of the CNC managing end face milling process;
c) The extension and shrink of facer blade can be viewed as the 3rd axis of the CNC machine (Stroke: 100mm), but not controlled in the CNC system. It is manually adjusted instead;
a) In ordinary Welding Structure Member End Face Milling Machine, the face milling speed is adjustable within the scope of around 8~10 times: 100~800 mm/min., by means of A.C. inverter;
b) Comparatively, CNC controller can put the wider range of speed control into reality into CNC type machines: Not only within certain definite speed range (One time base), but also make the whole speed range times with the figure bigger than 1 (Such as 2/3..) Or less than 1 (Such as 0.5…);
a) In the attached 3rd photo, which was taken in the year of 2011, operator was standing on a set of DX4080 large model machine of ordinary type, at that time CNC was not introduced into this kind of equipment;
b) Nowadays, with CNC equipped, for large size CNC control machines, where should operator stand during end face milling job? Is it alongside CNC, to watch on parameters of end face milling, or on the elevating standing, to monitor the end face milling process? The ideal condition, of course, should be together; On the other hand, in the case of CNC station away from the elevating stand, as the CNC I Beam End Face Milling Machine in the first photo is, the lifting standing takes priority. Anyway, the CNC controller has alarming function, which will give hint on abnormal conditions as the case maybe;
c) So, why do not put CNC onto the lifting stand? This is not a difficult issue in CNC Pipe End Face Milling Machine. But, too close distance to the end face milling point may bring negative impact on performance of CNC. This is the reason that, in CNC models machine, we usually install the CNC system at the bottom position of machine column.
