3) The 3 pieces of straightening rollers in straightening unit: (Fig.2)
Shown in the above photo, automatic I Beam Straightening Machine (Same meaning as for H Beam) straighten the flange by means of the T shape cavity, which is formed by the two pieces of top straightening rollers, and one piece of bottom straightening roller.
To achieve this target of flange straightening on various thickness and material (Q235, Q345, 16Mn, etc.) of welding H Beam, there are several variations in the machine, in terms of:
1) Straightening Rollers Movement and Driving style: (Fig.3)
a) Whether it is top or bottom straightening rollers to perform the job;
b) Whether it is driven with mechanical motor reducer or hydraulic station;
2) Top Straightening Rollers Span Manipulation (To cater for changed flange width) and web tighten unit in H Beam Straightening Machine: (Fig.4,5)
As introduced in previous products, for these important units affecting straightening outcome, whether it is made with manual handwheels thru leadscrew, or hydraulic oil cylinder;
3) Power of Main Motor and Hydraulic Oil Pump, and hence its Pressure and Output Torque in H Beam Straightening Machine:
These are determined by specific workpiece size and flange thickness;
4) Execution unit:
a) Straightening rollers have varied size (diameter) based on web height and thickness: (Fig.6)
b) Which means, in general, straightening rollers of hydraulic drive H I Beam Flange Straightening Machine are larger than those of mechanical motor drive models;
c) For HYJ series motor drive models, straightening rollers of HYJ-800 are larger than those of HYJ-40;
d) This is also true with hydraulic drive models machine, that descending sequence in terms of straightening roller size is YTJ80/60/50/40;
a) Unlike other H Beam Production Machine such as H Beam Welding Machine, straightening process do not need consumables for its daily operation;
b) The working parts with maximum wear are top and bottom straightening rollers. They are forged integrally, of material 35CrMo, and hardness HRC50-55, guaranteeing long life service without defects such as cracking. These straightening rollers have same service life as the I Beam Straightening Machine itself;
The HYJ series motor drive models and YTJ series hydraulic drive have different straightening speed as below:
i. HYJ-800 mechanical: 17m/min.;
ii. HYJ-40 mechanical, YTJ-40/50 hydraulic: 9m/min.;
iii. YTJ-60/80 hydraulic: 6.3m/min.
b) In the process technology of H Beam Production Machine, H Beam Straightening Machine has the quickest processing speed, compared with the former steps of H Beam Assembly Machine and H Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine, which assembles and welds H Beam in the working speed of around 200~ 2000 mm/min.;
In this sense, HYJ-40 motor drive model is more applicable for being applied in automatic H Beam production line:
i. Usually for an automatic H Beam Product Line, submerged arc welding is bottleneck, with welding speed of average 2000 mm/min.;
ii. With four sets of LHC column type H Beam SAW machine in a line, the SAW welding matches with 9m/min. straightening speed of HYJ-40 Automatic H Beam Straightening Machine better than 17m/min. of HYJ-800 Automatic H Beam Straightening Machine;
iii. In automatic line, operator of the HYJ-800 needs to wait for delivery of SAW process, which deteriorates Line Balance Rate of whole H Beam Production Line.
