1) If you look at the attached 1st photo carefully, you may identify something different in this set of PHJ15 Welding H Beam Fabrication Machine: The design on structure of its top gantry --- Please compare the 1st photo with the 2nd photo, which is the current (By the year of 2021) type of top gantry;
2) In this product section, let’s explore on this subject of top gantry structure in the H I Beam Fabrication Machine.
1) Main Structure: As its name implies, PHJ models 3 in1 I Beam Fabrication Machine has fixed base and stationary top gantry, which, during its work, raw materials of flanges and web are sent into and driven through the machine for welded H Beam/I Beam/T Beam production, just like in the first photo, a piece of T Beam was being made in trial run out of the main frame;
2) "Old" Structure of Mechanical Main Frame: The top gantry in the first photo of the machine is old fashioned: The downward bracket, which is driven with hydraulic cylinders, is guided with 4 pieces of rollers at its both sides, along with the 2 pieces of vertical precise linear guiderails;
3) Guiding Downward Rollers: So, in such structure of machine, the up and down movement of the main pressing roller is realized with rolling friction force;
4) Comparatively, for the present type of top gantry in the machine, as shown in the attached 2nd photo, there are 4 pieces of vertical precise linear guiderails, instead of 2 pieces, installed at the 4 internal edges of the gantry beam;
5) And the elevation movement of guiding rollers is made with sliding friction force, instead of rolling friction force in the "Old" fashion. Such upgraded design make rise of manufacture cost on the PHJ model machine, but can add on stability and precision of downward pressing and assembling process, giving better quality delivered from the machine. So, currently, all the PHJ and ZHJ series models machine are made with such structure of top gantry.
1) In product family of PHJ and ZHJ model 3 in 1 I Beam Fabrication Machine, top gantry is same in both branches of product. Their difference lies in base frame, which is the “working table” of the machine. For base frame of PHJ series, we have discussed on it in product sections of PHJ15 model, please check. So, as to its upper section, the top gantry, what is its structure and role in the machine? Let’s take a quick view on it. The supporting photos are from No.3rd to 6th;
a) As can be seen from the photos, top gantry has inversed U shape made from section steels;
b) The mechanical U frame is assembled with 4 pieces of precise linear guiderails at its internal surfaces;
c) There is a set of upright oil cylinder being fit going through its top beam, downward all the way to install the main pressing roller, through the guidance of a set of lifting bracket, which in turn moves up and down along the 4 pieces of precise linear guiderails, thus fulfilling workpiece (H Beam) secure and assembly function of the 3 in 1 H I Beam Assembly Welding Straightening Machine;
d) The main pressing roller is the acting mechanism in top gantry of the machine;
a) The attached 5th photo gives perfect view on, with the removal of workpiece, the top main pressing roller/ Bottom assembling roller/ Left and right alignment rollers in the middle, which, during work period of the machine, exert force together to hold the workpiece from top/ bottom/ left/ right four directions simultaneously, and drive the workpiece forward as well as its assembling and welding made at the same time.
