1) Working Site: As can be observed from the attached first photo and below, viewing from visual angle of photographer, milling units are installed at the right side of machine mechanical main frame, while left side is bracket group for workpiece loading in and out of the machine;
2) The on site installation of one side acting SXBJ-12 at customer facility: (Fig.1)
1) Constructure: This is the mainstream structure of XBJ and XBJ series Edge Milling Machine, that the front side of its mechanical main frame is material handling side, and the back side is for performing edge milling operation;
2) Mechanical Main Frame: If you check the above photo carefully, you may find that lateral view on cross section of such one side acting machine, it’s mechanical pedestal is in the shape of “L”, catering on installation and operation requirement from customers;
3) Counterpart: Comparatively, there is another kind of double side acting SXBJ-12 Sheet Metal Plate End Chamfering Machine, that both sides of mechanical main frame are installed with milling heads. The corresponding mechanical frame is also different:
4) Mechanical Frame of double sides acting model machine: (Fig.2)
5) Characteristic: As can be found from the above photo, the mechanical base bed of double side acting model is the form of “┷”, which is for the purpose of symmetrical structure on both sides installing and running milling unit;
1) As mentioned previously, this is the main stream and default structure of machine for edge milling;
2) Default Design: Which means, when there is no special demand from customers, we design and produce such kind of one side acting structure machine for customers;
3) Application: Such structure of machine can meet most majority of customer demand, and takes over 90% share of practical application.
Let us make analysis on front side and back side of machine respectively:
1) Function: This side composes of array of standing brackets, serving as steel plates loading into and unloading out of the equipment;
2) The front side of machine work table for steel plates handling: (Fig.3)
3) Conventional Way: The above photo demonstrates on the traditional way and structure of material holding brackets adopted, which is also the common practice adopted in industry;
a) Limitation: Downside of such brackets is, the pushing in and pulling out steel plates into and out of machine is fairly uneasy and even dangerous, especially for large and heavy steel plates into and out of machine work table;
b) For example, suppose a piece of 12m length, 50mm thickness, and 2500mm width steel plate will be edge milled. By calculation, its total weight will be 12 Ton, very hard job for operators for finishing its handling;

1) Milling Head Mounting Way: In the machine, each set of milling head is installed onto a set of moving carriage, which moves along machine working table, fulfilling edge milling operation;
2) Milling Head Working Way: On each set of motor drive moving carriage, besides milling head and its horizontal movement driving motor, there are also series of important components and assemblies: Driving motor for milling head up and down, sector gear, feeding and retreating modulation transmission and handwheel of milling head, electric control board and operating pendant, as well as milling head tilting mechanism, angular ruler.... All of these elements and mechanisms form up the position and action control of milling head, before doing grooving operation;
3) Installing the 2 sets of milling head carriages onto operating side of the Sheet Metal Plate Edge Milling Machine:(Fig.5)
4) Difference of Milling Heads for Up and Bottom Beveling: As can be found from the above photo, the 2 sets of milling heads have different assembling orientation: The left one is for milling out bottom edge beveling, and the right one is for milling out side and up edge beveling.
