1) For HGZ series standard model Self Adjusting Welding Rotator, tonnage of 200Ton, 250Ton and above are classified as Heavy duty Welding Roller Bed;
2) There is a Chinese saying going ”Quantitative change causes qualitative change”. This is true with the HGZ series Self Adjusting Heavy duty Weld Rotator. So, what is the change with Heavy duty Welding Rotator compared with light duty and medium duty Welding Turning Roller? Let’s take a view on it.
1) The most conspicuous specialty with these Large Welding Rotator is its fully metallic rollers, (please check attached photos and below sketch), instead of the integrated PU and metal Welding Turning Roller applied in light duty and medium duty Weld Rotator, as we introduced in the previous product section of “Middle Level Loading Capacity HGZ Series Self Adjusting Welding Rotator”: (Fig.1)
2) The reason is, with increasement of workpiece weight loaded onto the Large Welding Roller Bed, the rubber material Welding Turning Roller do not have sufficient holding strength to support these large and heavy workpieces, and hence issue of deformation and early aging will happen;
3) Another reason is, large workpieces welded on these Large Welding Rotator generally involves large welding current, which will do great harm to the PU material Welding Turning Roller of the Welding Rotator;
4) To be specific, the metallic Welding Turning Roller used in these Heavy duty Welding Roller Bed had better be made of cast steel of grade ZG270-500, as the practice adopted at Wuxi JACK for all our Heavy duty Weld Rotator;
5) Although some suppliers adopt the metallic Welding Turning Roller made of welding members for these Large Welding Rotator, the cast steel Welding Turning Roller have best quality for the optimum performance of the Heavy duty Welding Rotator.
As introduced in the product section of “HGZ Electric Travelable General Purpose Self Adjusting Welding Rotator”, due to its difficulty of hoisting, for HGZ series heavy duty Welding Rotator, although some of the Welding Roller Bed are of the stationary Welding Turning Roller, there are more of the Large Welding Rotator with traveling capability: (Fig.2)
a) For the ease of hoisting of the HGZ series stationary Heavy duty Welding Turning Roller, there are hanging hooks on Welding Roller Bed of these Large Welding Rotator;
b) Besides, sometimes special fixtures and spreaders will be used for moving these Heavy duty Welding Rotator. Please check attached pictures and below sketch: (Fig.3)
Operation manner of Heavy duty Weld Rotator is same as that of light duty Self Adjusting Welding Rotator and medium duty Self Adjusting Welding Rotator:
1) The Welding Roller Bed of these travelable or stationary Welding Turning Roller swing by itself after loaded with workpiece, within the confinement of its designed sway range;
2) Meanwhile, center distance of the Welding Turning Roller is adjusted accordingly, catering for workpiece of various diameter. The Welding Roller Bed give support on the workpiece in stable and smooth manner;
3) Based on diameter of workpiece (Dia. 1.5m ~ 8.5m for Heavy duty Welding Rotator), swing angle of the Welding Roller Bed can be manipulated automatically, together with alignment of its gravity center;
Working together with Welding Manipulator (or called Welding Column Boom) and external welding power source, for cylindrical workpiece loaded onto the Welding Turning Roller, both internal and external longitudinal welding seam, as well as circumferential welding seams on the cylindrical parts can be fulfilled: (Fig.4)
