1. The Industries and Constructions for Use of Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine:

1) In industries of Bridge Crane, Bridge Construction, Port Machinery, etc., one of the heavily used important working parts are large section Beam Plate Element, which usually has cross section sizes of: Height 1000mm ~ 1500 mm, Width 1500mm ~ 3000 mm, in the total Length of 20m to 30m;

3) When producing stiffener plates, after the stiffeners are welded onto the steel plate, the formed stiffener plate usually got certain degree of deformation because of welding. For straightening a piece of stiffener plate effectively, J series Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine utilizes its function cells of:

 

1. Straightening units: There are 3 sets of straightening groups in one set of the J Series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine. one set of the straightening group consists of top downward straightening section and bottom fixed straightening roller;
2. Straightening unit Transverse Moving unit:
In J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine, each set of the straightening unit can be moved horizontally, to accommodate different positions of stiffeners on steel plate;
3. Bottom Support Rollers: During operation of the Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine, the bottom supporting rollers have 2 functions: Hold the workpiece of stiffener plate, and send it forward during straightening period, under the drive of A.C. motor.

Operation of J series Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine

1. Operating Mechanism in J series Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine:

 

1) The 1st Photo: For the purpose of convenient and flexible operation, the running of J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine is operated by means of remote pendant. This helps operator can stand at any position which is convenient for operation and observance;

2) To the best and most precise degree of straightening effect in the Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine, the manipulation of the 3 sets of straightening units is realized individually: Each of motion for each of the straightening rollers, in each of the straightening groups;
3) Checking from the previous listed parameters, straightening speed in J series Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine is constant: 6000 mm/min..
 

2. Transverse Position Adjustment of Straightening Unit in J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine:

1) The 2nd Photo: There are 3 sets of straightening units in one set of the J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine. As we know, rib intervals on ribbed plate can be in the range of 225 ~ 700mm, this is for catering for different applicating conditions at different customers;
2) Correspondingly, the 3 sets of straightening units can be moved leftward and rightward along overhead horizontal beam of the main frame, in J series Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine, based on stiffeners distribution condition on workpiece;
3) The transverse position change and monitor of straightening units is one of the technical core points in control system of the J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine: It is controlled with PLC (Programmable logic controller), detected with encoder, and driven with A.C. motor.

3. Straightening Volume Management in J Series Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine:

1) The 3rd Photo: There is indicating ruler assembled on lateral side of top downward straightening section in each of the straightening unit, giving actual downward stroke of the rollers at that time, during operation of the Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine;
2) The downward movement of the straightening rollers are driven with hydraulic oil cylinder, and manipulated by means of toggle switch on remote pendant of the J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine.

 

4. Straightening Step in J Series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine:

1) The 4th Photo: Another precondition for proper straightening in J series Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine is, in each set of the straightening group, center line of top downward and bottom stationary straightening rollers should be colinear, this is guaranteed by means of working of PLC and encoder;
2) The total length of stiffener plate can be as long as 20m ~ 30m. With its traveling through main frame of the J series Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine, the complete piece of the stiffener plate got straightened.

Structure and Working Principle of Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine

1. Integral Constructure of the Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine:

 

1) The 1st and 2nd Photo: One set of the J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine can be divided into 3 general groups of main frame, input conveyor, and output conveyor;
2) Main frame is in the structure of solid base box frame. It is the central working zone of the Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine;
3) Support Rollers: As can be seen from the 1st and 2nd photo, there is 1 piece of front support roller and 1 piece of rear support roller, distributed at inlet and outlet of main frame respectively. These support rollers have 40mm vertical stroke, in form of 20mm higher and 20mm lower than top surface of conveyor roller respectively. This is for ease of loading in stiffener plate, before official running of the Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine;
4) Control boards and hydraulic pump station of the Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine are located at overhead platform of main frame. Personnel can climb onto by way of lateral ladders.

 

 

2. Straightening Units of J series Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine:

1) The 3rd and 4th Photos: The 3 sets of straightening units are assembled onto overhead horizontal beam of the main frame;
2) For adapting to specific types of rib plate to be processed in the J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine, transverse movement of the straightening units is guided with precise linear guiderail, transmitted with gear and rack, controlled with PLC and encoder, protected with proximity switch, and driven with A.C. motor;
3) For each set of the straightening unit in the J series Ribbed Plate Straightening Machine, there are 2 pairs of straightening rollers installed facing each other: The 3 pieces of top downward rollers (1 piece of main larger roller in the middle, and 2 pieces of slave rollers at both sides), as well as 1 piece of bottom stationary roller (Only revolve, no vertical movement). Such design makes sure firm and reliable straightening job in the J series Stiffened Plate Straightening Machine;
4) The 4th Photo: The 3 pieces of bottom stationary straightening rollers are connected into an integral cell by means of a rotating shaft. During working of the J series Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine, the in-phase running of the 3 bottom rollers are transmitted with chains and sprockets.

 

 

3. Driving Mode in J series Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine:

In a nutshell, the 2 main jobs during operation of the Stiffening Plate Straightening Machine: Vertical straightening is driven by means of hydraulic oil cylinder, and horizontal conveying of stiffener plate is by means of high power motor reducer.
