1. Background: This SAW (Submerged arc welding) Welding Center was developed by Wuxi JACK for an overseas customer from Oil and Gas Industry, for fabricating on large size tanks. The diameter of tanks can be up to Φ4500mm;
2. Workpiece Support: Is fulfilled with laying large tanks onto welding roller bed of groups of Welding Rotator;

3. The 3 Major Welding Equipment and Its Operations for Fabricating on Tanks in this Welding Center:

1) The internal and external longitudinal welding for completing manufacture on each segment of tanks, which need to be completed with the LHZ5050 Welding Column and Boom Automatic Welding Equipment;

1) The welding mode in this sophisticated Welding Center is SAW (Submerged arc welding). SAW welding mode is applicable for fabricating on workpieces made of medium to thick thickness carbon steel;

This is for the purpose of getting sufficient width of welding seam from the CO2 MIG welding. Another Welding Equipment being equipped with this swing mechanism is LHD150 Pipe Back Welding Equipment;
2) Work Bench: As shown in the above 2nd photo, to help operator of the Welding Column and Boom of Welding Center getting a comfortable operating position, the HGK10 leadscrew adjusting Welding Rotator is laid on a working table;
3) Weight Ballast: Also shown in the above 2nd photo, there is a piece of small diameter tube inside the workpiece stainless steel pipe on the welding roller bed of the Welding Rotator. This is because considering the light weight of workpiece, to keep it steady for welding, there needs to have a ballast inside the workpiece, so that welding performance of the Welding Rotator/ Welding Column and Boom Automatic Welding Equipment and hence Welding Center can be guaranteed;
