HGZ-series Multi-functional Automatic Self Adjustable Welding Rotator for Pipe

1.  What is Purpose of HGZ series Self Adjusting Welding Rotator?

1)  Function:    As introduced in the product family of Welding Roller Bed (The same name of Welding Rotator, or Welding Turning Roll), this widely applied welding machine tool is an universal applied equipment for process technology of Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, and Testing of cylindrical workpiece, such as pipe, tube, vessel, tank, barrel, etc. In this respect, this equipment is a multi-functional welding machinery;

2)  Meanwhile, because welding takes the biggest share in its application compared with assembly, painting, and testing, this equipment is often called automatic Welding Rotator;

3) Wide Variety:  Although Welding Roller Bed is a kind of equipment which has “simple” structure and appearance, there are many variations with it in terms of tonnage, detailed design and function;

4) Currently in industry, the prevailing and recognized way of classification on Welding Turning Roll is on the basis of its welding roller bed center distance adjusting manner: HGZ series Self Adjustable, HGK series leadscrew adjustable, and HLK series bolt adjustable. Of which, the HGZ series Self adjusting type, or automatic type, is the first major categories we introduce.

2. Structure and Working Principle of HGZ Series Self Adjusting Welding Turning Roll:

1)  As its name implies, the HGZ series of automatic Welding Rotator has its turning roller span adjusted automatically, in the way of turning rollers swinging around its shaft when workpiece is put onto it;

2) To have deeper explore on this roller span adjusting process, first we should make clear, that in the working of Self Adjustable Welding Roller Bed, what is the purpose on its roller span changed? Please check sketch of HGZ series self adjustable models welding unit as below:

3)  Technical View on Self Adjusting Welding Rotator:

From the above sketch we can see that,

a)  That for a set of Self Adjustable Welding Rotator, its turning roller span is the counterpart of workpiece diameter in equipment parameters;

b) This is the reason why we need to change span of the two pairs of rollers: To accommodate on workpiece (Cylindrical parts) of various diameters put on it;

c) Hence comes product species of HGZ Self Adjusting, HLK series Adjusting by Bolt, and HGK series Adjusting by Leadscrew, within the full range of automatic welding rotating equipment;

4) The HGZ series is the automatic Welding Rotator with the simplest operation of its kind: Just loading the workpiece onto its Welding Roller Bed, the span or distance between the tiltable turning roller beds (We often call it “Plier shape Rack”) will be changed accordingly to cater for this specific piece of workpiece, and hence holding angle (It should be within the range of 45°~ 110°);

5) Diversification in HGZ Series Self Adjusting Welding Rotator:

a) On the basis of this “plain” construction (The standard type models), with some function added to it based on customer demand, there comes transformations with this series of Welding Turning Roll;

b) For example, motor drive or manual operating moving type self adjusting structure, roller bed adjustable type structure … Which we will have discussion in the subsequent product sections.

3. Technical Parameters of HGZ Series Self Adjusting Welding Rotator:
