Function of Rotary, Tilt, Lifting Turning Welding Worktable

1. Extensive Use: Welding Positioner is a kind of universal applied welding positioning equipment, which has one/ two/ three/ four motion axis, for orientating various structure workpieces to the most ideal position for welding operation;

1. Two Working Axis Welding Positioner:

1. Technical View on Turning Welding Worktable:

1) Two degrees of freedom: 0°~360° infinite revolve and 0°~120° CW/ CCW tilt;
2) Drive: A.C. motor reducer;

3. Single Axis Turning Welding Worktable:

1. Technical View:
1) The Solitary Degree of Freedom: 0°~360° infinite revolve under motor drive, either in vertical plane, or, in horizontal plane;

4. Head and Tail Weld Positioner:

1. Structure of Double Columns Welding Positioner:

1) Feature: There are 2 sets of upright columns in 1 set of the equipment, headstock and tailstock, which joints both ends of horizontal orientated workpieces in rigid or flexible way;
2) Quantity of Turning Welding Worktable: 3 sets, of which 2 sets being installed in vertical facing orientation, at both sets of the upright columns, headstock and tailstock; And 1 set at the middle of horizontal beam which connects headstock and tailstock, for fixing and revolving workpiece;

3) Types: Workpiece fixed height (No up and down stroke) and elevating type;
4) Application: Majority models products have lifting function;

5) Distance between Headstock and Tailstock of Head and Tail Weld Positioner:

It can be either:
a) Connected with tangible horizontal beam (Fixed distance);
b) Or, one set of the column is stationary (Headstock), and the other is workshop floor rail moving type (Adjustable distance, tailstock);

6) Motion Axis in Head and Tail Weld Positioner:

1. Specialty of Servo Drive Turning Welding Worktable:

1) Drive and Control: Workpiece revolve and tilt are driven with servo motor and managed with encoder;
2) Loading Capacity: Considering small to medium power range of servo motor, Servo Drive Welding Positioner is confined to light and medium duty loading capacity of workpieces;
3) Types: Single motion axis revolve, two motion axis revolve and tilt, three axis head and stock;

Working Principle of Wuxi JACK L type Lifting Weld Positioner

Here we take our LBS30 model Elevating L type Welding Positioner as an example, a model of widely applied positioning purpose welding equipment at Vehicle/ Construction Machinery industries, which has 3 ton loading capacity Turning Welding Worktable, to explain how does this welding equipment work:

1. Structure and Operating Way of Elevating L Structure Welding Positioner:

1) To get the most desirable welding position of long length large workpiece, there are three degrees of freedom in a set of LBS model welding equipment. Shown as below:

2. 0°~ 360° Infinite Revolve of Turning Welding Worktable:

1) Welding Operation: In this L structured welding positioning equipment, Turning Welding Worktable revolve leads workpiece into revolve of welding velocity, and being welded at the same time;
2) Workpiece revolve orientation is along slew bearing of Turning Welding Worktable;
3) Revolve Linear Speed: So, this revolve linear speed, which is also welding speed, is controlled with A.C. inverter (VFD: Variable frequency drive);

4) Drive Way of Turning Welding Worktable and Workpiece Revolve:

a) In conventional two degree of freedom Welding Positioner, revolve is driven with conventional A.C. motor reducer;
b) In servo drive models, revolve is driven with servo motor reducer;
5) Workpiece Secure: Workpieces are fixed into T slots rows on top surface of Turning Welding Worktable.

 

3. 0°~ 360° Turning Welding Worktable Rotation:

1) Role: Manage on orientation of workpiece to the best position;
2) Rotation orientation is along slew bearing of L arm;
3) Rotation Linear Speed: Rotating speed is constant, unless customer has special requirement;

4) Drive Way of Turning Welding Worktable and Workpiece Rotation:

a) In conventional models, rotation and tilt is driven with braking type A.C. motor reducer;
b) In servo drive models, rotation and tilt is driven with servo motor reducer;
 

4. Elevation of L Arm and Turning Welding Worktable:

1) Role: Accommodating on long length of working parts;
2) Drive Way: In Wuxi JACK delivered Elevating L type Welding Positioner, lifting and lowering down of Turning Welding Worktable and workpiece are driven with hydraulic system oil cylinders. This can fully promise on workpiece elevation in the best degree of security and reliable work;
3) Lifting Stroke of L arm depends on workpiece size. For LBS30 model, elevating stroke is 1500mm.

Stability Erection: To fully keep balance and stable operation of the entire set of L type Lifting Weld Positioner, which has fairly heavy deadweight and that of workpiece:
1. There is counterweight being installed inside lower half of mechanical body of this L structured welding equipment;
2. There are 2 pieces of large size long feet at the bottom of the Welding Positioner, which are secured firmly into workshop floor. These greatly increases on contact area between the welding equipment and workshop floor.
