1. Solid Base: Mechanical base bed in Stationary Welding Manipulator; Motor drive moving trolley in moving ability Welding Column and Boom;
2. Horizontal Boom: This is the central working hand of cross slides Pipe Tank Welding Machine. It moves up and down along upright column, fulfilling welding torch position adjustment along X and Y axis;
3. Upright Column: This is the main trunk of the column and boom Welding Manipulator. It is assembled together with the horizontal boom, to form into a right angle “Cross” mechanical frame of the Welding Equipment, and perpendicular to base bed or trolley of the Welding Manipulator;
4. Cross Slides (Saddle): This is central joint of the Welding Column and Boom. Movement of horizontal boom along the upright column is by means of guiding and transmitting through the cross slides;
5. Welding Head: This is core function unit in Welding Equipment of LHZ series Welding Column and Boom.
1. Applicable Workpiece Size: The largest diameter of tanks/ pipes that can be welded in this Pipe Tank Welding Machine is Φ4000mm;
2. Length of traveling rails for Welding Column and Boom is based on required max. longitudinal length of workpiece;
3. Way of Operation: During running of the Column and Boom Welding Manipulator, workpiece is laid onto 2 sets of Welding Rotator. The distance between the 2 sets of welding roller bed;
4. Welding Mode is flexible based on necessary process technology at working site of the Welding Column and Boom. The most often adopted welding modes are: SAW (Submerged arc welding)/ GMAW/ TIG/ Stap Cladding;
5. Welding Orientation on Working Parts: As shown in the above design sketch, the LHZ4040 Welding Column and Boom carries out external longitudinal welding along longitudinal body of pipe.
1) Photo 1: Large welding current SAW (Submerged arc welding), for fabricating on thick wall pipes/ tubes/ tanks, that are made of carbon steel;
2) Photo 2: Delicate TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, for fabricating on thin wall pipes/ tubes/ barrels, which are made of non-ferrous metal, including stainless steel/ zinc;
3) Photo 3: High IK value CO2 GMAW, for fabricating on small to medium wall thickness of workpieces, in column and boom Welding Manipulator;
4) Photo 4: Strip Cladding (Hard facing), for acquiring on building up anti-corrosion layer, on external surface of workpiece, in this column and boom Pipe Tank Welding Machine;

1) Various modes of Welding torch, including welding torch position controlling mechanism / high precision cross slides/ Welding seam tracing unit;
2) Welding wire feeder, and welding wire reel;
3) SAW welding flux system: Hopper/ recycling unit, and conveying tubes, in case of SAW (Submerged arc welding) being adopted in Welding Column and Boom;
4) Control console of welding power supply, and welding seam tracker, that conform to welding modes being adopted in specific Column and Boom Welding Manipulator;

1) What is Blind Welding: When the Pipe Tank Welding Machine is used for producing longitudinal and or circumferential welding seams on internal wall of cylindrical workpieces, which operator can not see directly on welding point, such operation belongs to blind welding;

2) CNC Pipe Beam End Face Milling Machine: For performing end face polishing on fabricated workpieces.
