The Single Axis Welding Positioner can be divided into two major groups of:
1. Horizontal plane revolve: Up to 100 ton loading capacity
2. Vertical plane revolve: Up to 10 ton loading capacity

1) The right hand photo and design sketch denote on its structure: A piece of round shape (Minority condition is square shape) Rotary Welding Table is assembled onto a piece of vertical standing solid base, with the drive and transmission motor reducer being installed beneath the welding table;
2) Foundation: There is a piece of larger size installation plate at the bottom of the vertical base, and secured firmly into workshop floor. Its area is contact base and foundation of the welding equipment, keeping stability/ balance and stable running of the entire set of Rotary Welding Table;
3) Ingenious Design: To acquire on the compact size and symmetric structure of the entire set of the Single Axis Welding Positioner,drive and transmission units: Motor and reducer are assembled in symmetry at both sides of the vertical base.
1) Based on type of drive motor and revolve controller, the horizontal rotating Welding Turning Table has two types of ordinary A.C. motor drive and servo motor drive;
2) The loading capacity of ordinary A.C. motor drive welding equipment can be up to 50 Ton to 100 Ton;
3) The loading capacity of servo motor drive welding equipment has the max. tonnage of 30 Ton, of which the common seen specifications are 3 Ton to 5 Ton;
4) Welding System: The servo drive Welding Turning Table usually works with robot working station and or other sophisticated control case, such as laptop/ monitor/ video, etc. The corresponding revolve linear speed is obviously wider than that of the A.C. inverter control on ordinary A.C. motor drive Single Axis Welding Positioner: Usually the 20 to 30 times speed change scope is available.

1) Brief: Looking at its appearance, the mechanical frame of vertical plane revolve single axis Rotary Welding Table is similar to a set of L type structure Welding Positioner: Its upright square column serving as trunk of the mechanical main body, and 2 pieces of long extending “feet” as its grounding installation base into workshop floor;
2) The difference is, there is no L arm in this erected Single Axis Welding Positioner. Instead, the Welding Turning Table is assembled directly onto the square column, in the direction of vertical plane;
3) Critical Control Specification: The balance and steady standing of the Welding Turning Table and workpiece is very important on this vertical plane revolve Single Axis Welding Positioner. As you can check from the left hand photo, besides the above mentioned 2 pieces of long feet, electric control cabinet of the Single Axis Welding Positioner is integrated into mechanical cavity of the welding equipment rectangular body, which improves and increase stability of its gravity center location, and hence stable persistent running of welding operation.
1) The working parts processed on this structure of welding equipment should have “stout” or “stumpy” figure, instead of “Slender” figure;
2) The welding seams on these workpieces should regular, and has “simple” way of distribution, because the welding equipment has only one degree of freedom;
3) Which means, the length of the workpiece should be short compared with its cross section size. This is considered out of stable running of the vertical plane revolve Welding Turning Table.

1. Where Used: These simplified Single Axis Welding Positioner are basically used for fabricating on regular outline workpieces with “simple” distribution on welding seam, such as cylindrical parts. These working parts are often seen in industries of Pipeline, Oil and Gas, Pressure Vessel, Aviation, Measurement Instrument, etc.;
2. Related Equipment: The mated welding equipment are: Welding Manipulator (Column and Boom), Welding Rotator (Turning Roller Bed), and Special Welding Machine, etc.;
3. Function Unit: The necessary and requisite working cell on the single axis Welding Positioner and flat Welding Turning Table is Welding Fixture of different design, for firmly and reliably securing on working parts onto its Rotary Welding Table;
4. After welding, these working parts are sometimes sent to Beam End Face Milling Machine for surface machining and polish.
