Universal Automatic High Speed ASM200 Angle Steel Straightening Machine

Background: This is a set of ASM200 model Angle Steel Straightening Machine, which was being commissioned and validated at Wuxi JACK workshop.

1. Application and Characteristics of ASM200 Steel Angle Straightening Machine:

1) Capability: Contrary to ASM63, the ASM200 is the largest model of standard Angle Iron Straightening Machine. It is used for straightening lengthways deformation of heavy duty Angle steels. The biggest specification of Angle Steel (The same name of workpiece: L steel/ Angle Iron/ Rolled Angle) that can be processed in this Angle Straightening Machine is 200x 200 x 16 mm. The workpieces of both equal sides and unequal sides can be straightened with this machine:

2) Structure Characteristic: How to identify ASM200 (And ASM160, which is another large model of the equipment), from the other models of the ASM series Rolled Angle Straightening Machine? Besides larger size of machine main body, the most conspicuous disparity of ASM200 (And ASM160) is the driving way of top straightening rollers downward adjustment: As you can find from the attached first photo and below small photo, because of heavy force involved, which manual job can not attain this purpose, during work of this heavy duty machine for carrying out Angle steel straightening, the 5 pieces of top straightening rollers are driven with 5 sets of motors respectively, instead of turned by hand as in the case of small and medium sizes of the machine, to have Angle steel straightening jobs on smaller models of the machine:

2. Straightening Principle in ASM Series Angle Iron Straightening Machine:

Straightening along workpiece length direction body, is the core operation of these series of high speed Angle Steel Straightening Machines. As to its straightening principle, please check the attached 2^nd /3^rd /4^th pictures and attached video for more information:

1) Structure for Straightening in Wuxi JACK Steel Angle Straightening Machine:

There is a full length cavity in the main body of the machine. In the cavity along Angle Steel passing direction, checking from cross section of the cavity, you can see one row of top position assembled straightening rollers, (With convex surface) and one row of bottom straightening rollers (With concave surface):

2) Straightening Process in the Angle Steel Straightening Machine:

a) During rolled Angle steel Straightening operation in the ASM series machine, in the process of going forward of the Rolled Angle steel, with pressing force generated between the top and bottom positions straightening rollers together, the deformed Rolled Angle Steel will be straightened along with its moving forward;

b) In this way, the original workpiece of lengthwise deformed Rolled Angle is fed into the universal Angle Steel Straightening Machine, and sent out in the form of straightened Angle Steel:

3) Critical Parameters of the Angle Iron Straightening Machine:

a) Depending on size of the Angle Irons to be straightened, which corresponds with model of the machine, the pairs of top and bottom straightening rollers also vary in size and interval, as well as the requisite downward stroke for straightening, and pressing force;

b) This is why “Straightening Rollers Interval” is one parameter of these universal Angle Iron Straightening Machines.
