1) Structure: The light duty Automatic Welding Manipulator of this product section, has basically the similar structure as the previous product of “Light duty Stationary Base Manual Rotating model”;
2) The major distinction between the two models of Weld Manipulator is, during operation, column revolve is driven with motor reducer, instead of pushed by hand;
3) Application: Motor revolving style of the welding machine tool for Industry is mainstream configuration, in this widely applied one kind of product from Pipe Welding Equipment, a leap forward toward welding automation.
a) Longitudinal Seam Welding: By means of horizontal boom rightward and leftward movement, longitudinal seam welding is performed on various workpieces of pipes and tubes;
b) Circumferential Seam Welding: Working together with Welding Rotator, both internal and external circumferential seam welding is performed on workpieces of pipes and tubes;
As can be seen from the attached pictures, a set of motor drive moving and revolving Welding Column and Boom has main units of:
a) Fixed style cross base;
b) Horizontal extending and vertical lifting horizontal boom;
c) Upright column and its column revolving mechanism;
d) High precision cross slide;
e) Motor reducers, for driving elevation and later movement of horizontal boom respectively;
f) Horizontal boom horizontal stroke;
g) Upright column revolve mechanism;
h) Guiderail system;
Besides SAW (Submerged arc welding) power supply, other requisite assistant welding units equipped with the welding machinery include:
Welding function units at front end of horizontal Boom: (Fig.1)
a) SAW welding flux recovery machine, flux hopper, flux conveying tube, which is fit at front end of the boom. Please check attached picture and above photo in yellow color;
b) SAW Welding wire feeding assemblies;
c) Welding torch position control cross slides;
a) Based on Diameter of Pipe: During work of the Automatic Welding Column and Boom, boom can move up and down in constant speed under motor drive, to accommodate workpieces of various diameters (parameters see specification table of below segment);
b) The main working motion in this welding machine tool is, horizontal boom can extend and shrink along horizontal direction, which means travel leftward and rightward, for performing longitudinal welding on workpiece pipes. In other words, horizontal moving speed of boom is SAW welding speed on workpieces, which is adjustable controlled with A.C. inverter;
For this light duty models equipment for Industry, in terms of both horizontal and vertical direction movement of boom, it is guided with advanced precise and abrasion proof V cross shape guideway, or called triangular cross shape guideway, making this Pipe Welding Equipment a truly high precision product. Also, for this light duty automatic Weld Manipulator, in view of horizontal Boom elevation transmission, considering the corresponding small stroke, it is adopted with leadscrew, which is different from chain sprocket as in the case of medium and Heavy duty Welding Manipulator.
