1) From this product section we go into the phase of introduction on special made Welding Column and Boom. The first product is the “simplest one”: Fixed column (Which means non-revolving) Cross Slide Column Boom;
2) In view of structure and configuration, such fixed column Welding Column Boom does not have specialty. Or, it should be viewed as one of the standard types of Welding Manipulator. On the other hand, due to its relative rare use in practical condition, such configuration of product can be attributed as a special one of efficient Welding Column and Boom.
1) In practical application, non-revolving column Welding Column & Boom is usually in the form of stationary, fixed into workshop floor. This makes the complete set of Stationary Welding Manipulator a cost-effective equipment, for niche application;
2) For such non-revolving Stationary Welding Manipulator, need to consider solution on feed in and send out of workpiece before put into operation.
a) Column revolving cross slide Welding Manipulator has additional degree of freedom compared with non-revolving type;
b) This makes the Welding Column Boom has 360° full reach around its surroundings, and can have welding operation on all the workpieces encircling it. This is especially beneficial for gaining production flexibility and improving productivity of the Welding Column and Boom;
c) So, over 90% of the Welding Column & Boom application in industry is with column revolving capability;
a) In laboratory or testing site for new product introduction/ Validating on new technology, or there is solitary working position available, such as shown in the attached and below photo: (Fig.1)
b) Working site of the Welding Manipulator where there is very cramped space for accommodating column revolving;
c) Dedicated workstation or workpiece, when there is no need for changeover. Such as the Welding Center shown in below: Because of the arrangement on Special Made Welding Positioner and Tailor Made Welding Rotator, the working position of the Stationary Welding Column Boom is fixed and non-changed: (Fig.2)
1) Same Point: Both types of Welding Column Boom have the same basic structure, working logic, and main units: Column, Boom, Base/ Trolley, Drive and Transmission unit, Welding unit. For detail, please check the former 12 standard products of LHC Column Revolving Welding Column & Boom;
2) Difference: The most salient distinction between the two types of Cross Slide Column Boom lies in the connection and assembly between upright column and base at its bottom: Instead of by means of slewing support (Or, cross roll bearing) for column revolving Welding Manipulator, the column is installed onto its base with a circle of bolts directly. Please check attached picture.
Except non-revolve of its column, this series of Welding Manipulator has all the options available for its configurations, including structure, configuration, and welding mode:
1) From perspective of moving capability, it can be either travelling (trolley), or Stationary Welding Column and Boom;
2) From perspective of loading capacity, it can be light duty, medium duty and heavy duty;
3) From perspective of welding manner, it can be SAW Welding Column & Boom, Welding Manipulator with CO2 Welding, or Welding Manipulator with Strip Cladding, or for polishing, painting, narrow gap welding, etc.;
4) From perspective of optional function units, it can be equipped with seam tracing unit, video monitor, oscillator, etc.
In All, we expect on rendering service for your demand on providing column revolving and fixed type Cross Slide Welding Manipulator.
