Industrial Use Welding Column And Boom for Cylinder Parts

1. Usage of the Industrial Welding Column and Boom:

1) The other name of the equipment is Industrial Welding Manipulator, which is used for fabricating on various specifications of cylindrical parts on both internal and external wall, welding out both longitudinal seam and circumferential seam;

2) This welding machinery is especially useful when making connection on pipes. It is an important and general purpose Welding Equipment at customer site.

2. Application Form of Industrial Welding Manipulator:

1) Related Equipment: The official running of the cross slides Column and Boom welding equipment need the support of other welding machinery, especially Welding Roller Bed, for firmly and flexibly holding and running workpiece during welding operation;

2) So, this cross slides manipulator welding equipment usually works in the form of Welding Complex.

3. Specification Range of the Cross Slides Welding Column and Boom:

1) Loading capacity of horizontal boom end is from 80kg in light duty models, to 400kg in heavy duty models;

2) Machine sizes range from the smallest LHZ2030 model (The max. up and down stroke of horizontal boom is 2,000mm, and the max. leftward and rightward stroke is 3,000mm), to the biggest LHZ8080 (8,000mm by 8,000mm);

3) Structure configuration of Welding Manipulator covers stationary type with fixed mechanical base, and motor drive type with moving trolley;

4) Revolving and Non-revolving upright column. For models with revolve type column, there are 2 optional modes of: Manual push, and motor drive revolving;

5) Welding Mode: SAW (Submerged Arc welding), ESW (Electro-slag welding), GMAW or Gas Shielded welding (Including CO₂, MIG, TIG, MAG), Strip Cladding;

6) Materials of workpieces available for welding includes carbon steel, mild steel, stainless steel, Al, etc.;

7)  Optional function units: Welding seam tracker unit, Video monitor, Camera, Welding torch oscillator (For getting sufficient width of finished welding seam cover face), etc.

4. Security Measures Taken in Industrial Welding Manipulator:

1) Braking Motor: All the motors for driving horizontal Boom working motions, especially for driving horizontal Boom up and down movement, boom leftward and rightward, column revolve, and trolley travel, are all braking type;

2) A row of safety holes being cut in upright column of the equipment: (Fig.1)

a) There is one row of safety holes drilled in the upright column;

b) During running period of the Cross Slides Manipulator Welding Machine, whenever chain breaks suddenly, the safety pins on the saddle will be ejected out in time, and inserted into the safety holes, eliminating hazard of boom falling down;

3) Limit Switch: There are limit switches at both ends of horizontal boom and upright column, giving hard stop protection on horizontal and vertical movement of the horizontal boom, during job of the Welding Complex;

4) Self Alarm: The horizontal boom back and forth movement driving motor has self-detection function, which will alarm under abnormal condition;

5) Emergency stop button at both remote pendant and operating panel of the Industrial Welding Manipulator;

6) Counterweight inside lower section of the upright column, to lower down gravity center of the entire set of the Industrial Welding Column and Boom, making the equipment sturdy and stable;

7) Staircase in all models of Wuxi JACK machine:  (Fig.2)

a) There is staircase alongside the vertical column for safe climbing to top of the Column and Boom Welding Manipulator;

b) Top section of the staircase is enclosed type, to protect people from falling down in case exigency happens;

8) Alarm lamp on top of the Wuxi JACK Industrial Welding Column and Boom, especially large models:  (Fig.3)

a) There is alarming lamp, being assembled at top of the cross slides manipulator welding machine;

b) For medium and heavy duty models of the machine, there is platform with guardrail on the top of the machinery.
