The attached photos were taken on a set of DX6080 Heavy duty H Beam End Face Milling Machine at a Vietnam customer site, delivered in 2018 by Wuxi JACK.
1) Specialty of the Model: DX6080 is the largest model of its product family in the market, and also in the industry of Machine Tools Works. It is the most challenging one of Large model machines, and represents the most sophisticated technique and process technology in making DX series H Beam End Face Milling Machine in industry;
2) Purpose of the Machine: The customer purchased this set of big machine for end face polishing on large scale structure members: At the end of 2018, this set of DX6080 large machine was exported to a client in Ha Noi, Vietnam.
To meet customer requirement, and have consummate performance of the equipment, this set of DX6080 Heavy duty machine was upgraded on many aspects on the basis of standard design:
a) The manufacture on this big special size H Beam End Face Milling Machine brooks no lapse and defect: It will lead to immeasurable loss to customer and Wuxi JACK;
b) So, force calculation was validated with computer assistant finite element analysis;
c) Assembly process was simulated ahead of time with VDRA (Virtual Design Realistic Analysis) before actual assembling the heavy duty machine ;
d) DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) were made to make sure 100% correct on every dimension and structure of the Large H Beam End Face Milling Machine;
There is a Chinese saying going: “Quantitative change brings along qualitative change”. Although the same principle of end face milling and same machine structure as normal size of H Beam End Milling Machine, the substantial enlargement on all the sizes of the machine units made this DX6080 model a completely new one from the viewpoint of:
a) Need to calculate all the parameters of the Large machine again from basic data including loading capacity of guiderail, strength and rigidity of machine bed, end face milling stroke and rpm of milling head, etc.;
b) The machining of structure members, welding and assembly process of machine frame all involve strict and rigorous process control. The 10.6m long machine bed and 8.3m height upright column were machined as integral parts in Gantry Milling Machine, instead of pieced together. The 6m leadscrew for vertical transmission of this Large H Beam End Face Milling Machine is also machined into shape from an integral piece of raw material in Large Lathe;
i. In DX6080 model, height of base bed is 700mm, compared with 500mm in ordinary models of the machine;
ii. The cross section side length of vertical column is 1600~ 1700mm--- This is of vital importance for the entire set of DX6080;
iii. Total length of the machine is 11m, total width is around 2,000mm, and total height is 9,500mm. As you can find its giant overall dimension from the attached photos;
iv. Driving motors of both directions have power of 5.5~ 6kW, compared with 2~ 3kW in ordinary model of DX6080 H Beam End Face Milling Machine;
v. The milling head has wider range of revolving (-45° ~ +45° ), compared with (0° ~ +45° )in ordinary models;
vi. The extension and shrink of milling head has larger stroke of 250mm, compared with 100mm in ordinary models of the machines;
a) Container: With 11,000mm long machine bed and 8,300mm height column, shipment of this DX6080 Heavy duty machine needs 2 pcs of 40GP container;
