This Manipulator welding machine is for fabricating on different diameters of industrial level cylindrical working parts: Pipes/ Tanks/ Pressure Vessels, and other Structure Members, etc.;
1) Mainly used for welding;
2) Besides, installed with function heads, other steps can also be performed: Assembly/ Painting/ Testing / Grinding/ Cutting/ Painting/ Flaw detecting ..., etc.;
1) Internal and external circumferential /longitudinal seam welding; spiral welding; Hard surfacing on cylindrical workpieces;
2) Spatial linear welding, such as transverse weld, oblique weld on structure members;
LHZ series Welding Manipulator is applied in all Industries involve cylindrical workpieces: Pipe and Pipeline/ Tank/ Boiler/ Pressure Vessel/ Tube/ Pharmaceutical/ Petro-Chemical/ Oil Tank/ Offshore Wind Tower/ Boiler, etc.
1) In practical application, Column and Boom Welding Equipment seldom operates on its own;
2) Instead, it usually works with Other Welding Equipment: Welding Rotator and or Welding Positioner, to be composed into different configurations Welding Center, fulfilling complicated tailor made welding tasks for customers.
1) The smallest model of Column and Boom welding machine is LHZ 2x2, for fulfilling 2000mm horizontal and vertical moving stroke of horizontal boom;
2) The largest model of manipulator welding machine is LHZ 8x8, for fulfilling 8000mm horizontal and vertical moving stroke of horizontal boom;
2. Loading Capacity: Horizontal boom end loading capacity ranges from 80kg to 500kg;
All the industrial level commons seen welding mode: SAW (Submerged arc welding)/ CO2 GMAW / TIG/ MIG/ Strip Cladding (Built Up welding) can be performed: (Fig.1)
LHZ series Welding Column and Boom can be classified with below aspects of:
1. Stationary or Moving type;
2. The upright column revolving or non-revolving;
3. For carrying on column revolving, manual or motorized drive revolving.
The most important is: Caution against sudden falling of horizontal boom when it stays at high position level. For this purpose:
1) Horizontal Boom elevation driving motor is braking type: (Fig.2)
2) There is a row of safety holes arranged in vertical line in the upright column, which will be plugged with safety pins in case of contingency happens, preventing the boom from falling. (Fig.3)
1) Drive Mode: Either manual or motor drive;
2) Safety: For motor drive revolve, the driving motor is braking type, so that the revolving column can be stopped at any angular position reliably;
3) In Welding Manipulator, transmission chain for column revolve is: Braking motor –- Gear –- Slewing support unit – Column, with limit switches for hard security;
4) The slew supporting unit for column revolve: (Fig.4)
1) This unit is the pivot for working of entire set Column and Boom welding machinery, for guiding boom sliding in both directions;
2) The ingenious design and precisely assembled Cross Slides in In Wuxi JACK Column and Boom Welding Manipulator: (Fig.5)
To get the optimum welding quality and efficiency, there are several important welding function cells equipped in Column and Boom welding machine: (Fig.6)
1) Welding torch position adjustment units;

With increasement on size and loading, several measures should be taken on Heavy duty Welding Manipulator, to make sure safe and reliable working process:
1. Air passageway along the entire length of horizontal Boom of the Heavy duty models equipment: (Fig.8)
This is for the convenience of operation and maintenance on the large size Heavy duty Welding Column and Boom;
2. Overhead Platform and Climbing Staircase: (Fig.9)
3. Reduce total height of Heavy duty Welding Manipulator and Operator Chair (Fig.10):
1) This is for lowering down gravity center of the Column and Boom welding equipment, to keep it running more stably;
2) Operator can sit on the chair which is installed at front end of horizontal boom;
3) Meanwhile, it should be strictly managed, to be controlled within total loading capacity of the Column and Boom welding machinery.
