We give the description “Special made” to this SXBJ-15 model double heads configuration machine for plate end chamfering of this product section, because the 2 sets of milling units are assembled in different style from conventional structure of double heads configured machine for steel plate edge beveling ;
As can be observed from the attached first photo and blow, in this special made machine for edge milling, the installation position of the two milling carriages is:
1) There is one set of milling head carriage each, installed at both sides of the machine mechanical bed, or working table;
2) In other words, the 2 sets of milling head will work face to face during machine edge milling operation. Please check below picture:

3) As comparison, the standard, or conventional XBJ and SXBJ series double heads Sheet Metal Steel Plate Edge Milling Machine has both its two sets of milling carriages installed at the same side of mechanical machine bed. Shown as below:
The installation of 2 sets of edge milling carriages in Wuxi JACK SXBJ-15 Conventional structure Standard Steel Plate Edge Beveling Machine: (Fig.2)
1) This is a set of custom made structure machine for sheet metal plate edge milling, for a customer in Vietnam. Please check attached video to view on its operation at customer facility;
2) Such special made machine of steel plate end beveling is for implementing on steel plate edge milling on both sides of the narrow workpieces: Width size of workpieces is in the scope of 500~600 mm. Such size is approximately close to worktable depth of the Special Made Steel Plate Edge Milling Machine;
3) Applicable workpieces narrow width steel plates to be applicable for the SXBJ-15 Special Made Steel Plate End Chamfering Machine: (Fig.3)
Comparatively, when making welding groove on “normal” width of metal plates in this machine:
1) One side of the milling carriage should be driven to the terminal of machine work table;
2) This is for the purpose of leaving sufficient space for fitting on the front extension bracket loading and unloading unit, at the front side of the SXBJ-15 model machine;
In this way,
1) One time stroke of metal plate edge milling on both sides of the narrow width workpiece simultaneously;
2) One time metal plate edge milling on “normal width” workpiece, for milling out either top bevels or bottom bevels welding groove. Here please note that, different milling head takes on tasks of top or bottom bevels respectively in the machine for edge milling;
3) Here, “Normal width” refers to max. width of 3000mm in the machine for steel plate edge beveling;
4) The types of welding grooves to be made in machine for steel plate edge milling: (Fig.4)
To fulfil the abovementioned designated request from customer, Wuxi JACK engineering team has made successful major adjustment on structure and size of the SXBJ-15 special made machine for edge milling as below:
1. Both sides of the machine bed are installed with motorized moving base for milling head carriage, instead of installed at only one side, as in the case of conventional Edge Milling Machine;
2. Also for the top and bottom double tiers of milling head carriage horizontal guiding rails, each side of the mechanical base bed are same as standard structure machine for steel plate end chamfering;
3. The extended terminals at both lateral sides of the machine of edge milling mechanical base bed are for installing milling carriages;
4. For this reason, this special made machine of steel plate end beveling has enlarged overall dimension in both its length and depth;
