This Head and Tail Lifting and Revolving Welding Positioner is intricate version in product family of Weld Positioner. The product name suggests workpiece to be welded has three degrees of freedom:
1) The 0°~ 360° revolving of the Rotary Welding Table along the horizontal axis of the Head and Tail Weld Positioner;
2) The up and down movement of Rotary Welding Table along the Elevating type Welding Positioner. These two control axis are same as that of the “Head and Tail Elevating type Welding Positioner” discussed before;
3) On that basis, the 3rd degree of freedom is added: That on the horizontal beam connecting the two side columns (or table top, or machine beds), at its middle point, there is a piece of pallet, or Rotary Welding Table installed. Workpiece is secured on this Rotary Welding Table, and can be rotated infinitely 0°~ 360° in both CW and CCW directions. This gives more available manipulation on best orientation of workpiece, in this Head and Tail Welding Positioner during welding.
1) With the added degree of freedom of workpiece rotation on the Rotary Welding Table, its orientation can be managed in more refined precise manner;
2) Such Head and Tail Elevating type Welding Positioner is especially useful for welding workpiece with many seams on it, in complicated design of arrangement.
A confusion on name of this Elevating type Head and Tail Welding Positioner may arise:
a) “Revolve” refers to Rotary Welding Table and workpiece turning around motion within the range of 0°~ 360°;
b) And “Tilting” refers to Rotary Welding Table and workpiece swing around motion within the scope of 0°~ 120°;
a) Both the revolve of workpiece around the horizontal axis joining the two columns (The orange color frame in below photo), and the rotation of workpiece on its Rotary Welding Table on the beam joining the two columns (The yellow color frame in below photo), are all turning around movement of 0°~ 360°;
b) In terms of revolving motion itself, there is no difference; But the orientation of control axis, or degree of freedom, in this Head and Tail Welding Positioner, as can be observed from the above photo, is different;
c) To differentiate the two turning round motions in this Head and Tail Weld Positioner, we use the word “Revolve” and “Rotation” respectively to make distinction. In this respect, this equipment should be named Head and Tail Lifting and Revolving Welding Positioner with Rotary Welding Table.
1) As can be observed from attached photos, in this Elevating type Welding Positioner, a long and strong piece of horizontal beam is installed joining the two sets of erecting columns (machine beds), serving as revolving shaft and holding unit of the workpiece Rotary Welding Table;
2) This is the most conspicuous distinguish between this Lifting and Revolving Head and Tail Welding Positioner, with the previous product of Head and Tail Welding Positioner, that usually there is no physical connection between the two side columns, or machine beds. Instead, during working of the Head and Tail Welding Positioner, only the workpiece joins the two side columns;
1) Design of Rotary Welding Table on the horizontal beam is convenient for fitting jigs and fixtures in short time, and applicable for various kinds of workpiece. An universal Weld Positioner;
2) The horizontal beam revolves around the axis connecting the two columns (machine beds), in constant speed, or required welding velocity;
3) The horizontal beam moves up and down along the two columns (machine beds) in constant speed;
4) The workpiece rotates on its Rotary Welding Table in adjustable speed of welding.
1) In all, as at the beginning of this section said, this Elevating type Head and Tail Welding Positioner is sophisticated equipment for fulfilling complicated manual and automatic welding operation;
2) Due to its tailor made, its technical specifications vary from case to case.
