1) This is the 3rd time we take product section of ZHJ series automatic integral function I H Beam welding Machine to introduce its custom made models;
2) In this section, the discussion is not limited to any specific size and model, but as a general induction and analysis on this sub-group of Vertical I Beam Welder.
a) H Beam Web Height: This size ranges from 200mm~1,500mm (Over 50%), or up to 1,800mm/ 2,000mm high;
b) H Beam Flange Width: It has 2 types of scope: (150mm~ 750mm) / (200mm ~800mm);
c) Thickness: For vertical direction of web, it is in the range of 6mm ~32mm;
For horizontal direction of flange, it is in range of 6mm~40mm;
d) These are all grouped into the category of “standard size”, which fall within workpiece specification range of PHJ15~20/ZHJ8015~ 8020 Pull Through I Beam Welder;
2) On the other hand, the diversity in steel structure projects calls for certain amount of special size members to be produced, usually of smaller size. In 2021, Wuxi JACK has received numerous cases of such demand from overseas customers located in Russia/ African countries, that ultra light duty H Beam/ I Beam are expected finished products from the 3 in 1 I H Beam Assembly Weld Straighten Integral Machine. One of the examples please see the attached 2 photo, a hand drawing on illustration of H Beam workpiece from a Russian customer;
a) Workpiece size is reduced from the standard to one half or even one third of original Vertical I Beam Welder: The max. height is 550mm~ 1000mm; The max. thickness is 10~20mm, and sometimes even 5~6mm appears, which is beyond the bottom limit of SAW (Submerged arc welding);
b) Accordingly, these change in workpiece size bring along challenge in welding mode of SAW and design on ZHJ and PHJ series 3 in 1 I H Beam welding Machine.
1) The reduction in workpiece does not equal to equal scale reduction in these integral function H Beam Welding Machine. One of the issues is the straightening capability to be reconsidered. As we know, in standard size PHJ and ZHJ Pull Through I Beam Welder, there is a rule of thumb, which gives empirical data on relationship between width and thickness of flange that can be straightened. For detail, please check product section of ZHJ8015 Integral SAW H Beam Welding Machine; For special size workpiece, this stress condition needs to calculated/ analyzed/ validated again. Below is the suggestion date we give based on that (For tensile strength σb≈400MPa):

2) The base bed of Integral Function I H Beam Welding Machine, which is the work table for central working area of the Vertical I Beam Welder, should be maintained as same no matter how small the workpiece size to be, because the working cells of assembling/ welding/ straightening should have sufficient degree of adaptability. Please check the attached 3rd photo, there is no difference between small and standard size 3 in 1 H Beam machine in this respect;
3) On the other hand, mechanical top gantry of the 3 in 1 H Beam Welding Machine, which caters for height of workpiece, should be adjusted accordingly, as is the case shown in the attached 4th photo, it is obvious shorter than that of standard model H Beam Fabrication Machine; And considering narrow width of workpiece flange, sometimes in small size Vertical I Beam Welder, the main pressing roller which has main purpose of holding workpiece during working, had narrower rim accordingly;
4) The structure and working principle of small size SAW H Beam Welding Machine should be kept same, as it is the cornerstone for this machine;
5) Summing up, the attached 5th photo shows a set of small model 3 in 1 I Beam Assembly Weld Straighten Integral Machine in working, welding a piece of small size H Beam/ I Beam. We can see that the main pressing roller in this machine is narrower than standard ones;
6) The attached 6th photo shows nameplate of one set of Wuxi JACK ZHJ5010 model special size H Beam Fabrication Machine we produced and exported to Russia in July, 2021. Please check the attached video, on CO2 MIG/MAG welding in this machine, which is used for welding workpiece of 5 ~6mm thickness.
