1) Function: This Chain type Overturn Machine is for the purpose of flipping medium size long structure members to the required angle, during its transportation for next station of processing;
2) Workpiece: Small to medium size BOX Beams, of cross section height up to 800mm, length up to 5m, thickness up to 8mm, and weight up to 3 Tons;
3) Work Motions: 2 main types of motion:
a) Angle Adjustable: BOX Beam can be flipped, of forward or reverse ±180°;
b) Lift Adjustable: For the purpose of sending forward the BOX Beam, the chains of this Chain type Flipping Equipment can be raised with small stroke: Up to 300mm;
4) Where Used: As shown in the attached photo, this compact size equipment is specifically designed and manufactured for small to medium size flexible arranged stream production line, in Steel Structure facilities.
The three most conspicuous features are:
a) Work Station: This equipment is installed at both sides of conveyor, through the entire production line worked in the process of workpiece sending. Or, in other words, chain manipulators are deployed alongside workpiece conveyor;
b) Chains Disposition: During operation at each work station, namely, raising and turning over BOX Beam workpiece, the chains act on workpieces; At the completion of operation, chains drop down below surface of the production line conveyors, not hindering sending forward of BOX Beam to next operating station;
c) Telescopic Style Holding Columns--- As shown on the attached photo, chains of this Chain type Turnover Manipulator Equipment are arranged in closed loop, encircling the both sides arrays of holding columns, making the columns working as both holding unit and manipulating arms of the Chain type Overturn Machine;
2) Quantity of Holding Columns: For one set of such Chain type Turnover Manipulator Equipment, there are totally 4 pieces of telescopic columns, which operate in 2 pairs;
3) When Not in Work: Before being flipped, the workpiece BOX Beam lies on the conveyor of Production Line; The upholding columns retract to its bottom position, and roller chains drops beneath top surface of conveyors;
4) At Each Work Station: For smoothly flipping the workpiece, and with the start of this Chain type Turnover Manipulator Equipment, its 4 pieces of upholding columns rise up synchronously, lifting workpiece off surface of the conveyor;
5) Turning Over Action: Meanwhile, roller chains of the Chain type Overturn Machine begin to revolve, leading the workpiece into flipping;
6) Elevation Action: Until the workpiece is turned to its target orientation, rollers chains stop revolving, and the 4 pieces of telescopic upholding columns retract and lower down to its bottom position, and lowering down the workpiece back to conveyor again;
a) Ascending and descending of the 4 pieces of upholding columns in is hydraulic drive;
b) Revolving of the roller chains in Chain type Turnover Manipulator is motor reducer drive, which can be made in both directions of forward (CCW) and reverse (CCW);
8) Integrated Control of this Chain type Overturn Machine is integrated with that of the Production Line conveyor, with control board sitting alongside both sides of the conveyor, which is convenient and easy to operate;
